Job description
A new opportunity has arisen to join a fast-growing fashion supplier who specialise in delivering innovative, high-quality menswear to major UK retailers. As part of their continued growth, they are looking for a Menswear Designer / Account Manager to join their creative and commercial team.
This role blends hands-on design with direct customer management, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on both creativity and relationship-building. You will take concepts from initial idea through to final delivery, ensuring all product ranges meet market demands and specific customer requirements.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Design and develop trend-relevant menswear collections, ensuring each range reflects consumer demand and retailer identity
- Research emerging menswear trends, fabric innovations, colours, and graphics to inspire new ideas and maintain strong market relevance
- Produce CADs, detailed tech packs, and supporting documentation for sampling and production
- Act as the point of contact for key accounts, presenting design proposals, sharing updates, and nurturing strong, long-term buyer relationships
- Work closely with garment tech, merchandisers, and production teams to ensure fit, quality, and timelines are consistently met
- Monitor competitor activity and high-street movements to inform range development
- Travel as needed for development trips, sourcing, customer meetings, and occasional inspiration research
Person Specification:
- Previous experience designing menswear
- Confident presenting to buyers and managing customer accounts with professionalism and a problem-solving mindset
- Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
- Flexible and willing to travel for sourcing, inspiration, or customer visits
- Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects at pace
- A positive, motivated, and adaptable approach with genuine passion for menswear product and design
