Job description

An exciting opportunity has become available to join a rapidly expanding fashion supplier specialising in the design and delivery of innovative, high-quality kidswear for leading UK retailers. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a Kidswear Designer / Account Manager to become part of their dynamic creative and commercial team.

This is a varied role combining hands-on design with direct customer account management, ideal for someone who enjoys being both creatively driven and commercially focused. You will manage the full product journey from initial concept through to final delivery, ensuring all ranges are aligned with market trends and tailored to individual customer needs.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Design and develop trend-led kidswear collections, ensuring each range is commercially focused and reflective of the retailer's identity
  • Research current and upcoming kidswear trends, fabric developments, colour palettes, and graphics to support new range creation
  • Create CADs, detailed tech packs, and all supporting documentation required for sampling and production
  • Act as the main point of contact for key accounts, presenting ranges, providing regular updates, and building strong, long-term buyer relationships
  • Liaise closely with garment technologists, merchandisers, and production teams to ensure fit, quality, and delivery schedules are achieved
  • Keep up to date with competitor activity and high-street trends to inform future range direction
  • Travel as required for development, supplier visits, customer meetings, and trend inspiration trips

Person specification:

  • Previous experience within kidswear design
  • Confident in presenting to buyers and managing customer accounts in a professional and solutions-driven manner
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
  • Flexible with travel for sourcing, development, and client visits
  • Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • A positive, proactive, and adaptable individual with a genuine passion for kidswear design
