Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Fashion Designer to join a dynamic and innovative design team with a focus on jersey-based products. In this role, you'll work closely with the senior team, contributing to both creative and administrative tasks, while gaining invaluable hands-on experience and collaborating with international partners.

This opportunity will be supporting across menswear and boyswear and will suit someone with prior design experience in a retail or supplier environment. Open to menswear, womenswear, or childrenswear experience.


Main responsibilities will include:

  • Create and update detailed tech packs, ensuring accuracy and clarity for suppliers

  • Conduct trend and market research, presenting insights to the team to help inform seasonal direction

  • Manage customer revisions and support in preparing presentations and design proposals

  • Coordinate with external print and graphic designers, ensuring timely delivery of assets and alignment with brand vision

  • Take an active role in fabric sourcing, sample development, and maintaining the fabric library

  • Liaise with factories and suppliers to support product development, ensuring timelines are met and samples are tracked efficiently

  • Manage sample records and progress tracking, keeping the wider team informed of status updates

  • Contribute to team meetings, design reviews, and showroom preparation, supporting strong communication across global teams and partners


Person Specification:

  • Degree in Fashion Design or a related field

  • Previous industry experience in apparel design at a supplier or retailer

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; CAD skills are highly valued

  • Strong eye for trends, detail, and colour, with proven experience translating research into design concepts

  • Excellent organisation

    and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects to deadlines

  • Proactive, collaborative, and eager to grow within a creative team environment
