Job description

We are recruiting for a leading fashion supplier who are looking for a Senior Softs Designer across womenswear to join the team.

Based in London, this is a customer-facing role for a commercially driven designer with a feminine, trend led handwriting, a strong understanding of prints, and the confidence to present ideas clearly and persuasively to key accounts.

You will play a central role in delivering trend-right, highly wearable soft woven ranges that meet customer needs and trading requirements.

Main Responsibilities will include:
Design and develop commercially focused soft woven ranges that align with customer briefs, target price points.

Present ranges, concepts and design updates to customers with confidence, tailoring the message to different stakeholders.

Translate trends into feminine, fashionable product with a strong print focus, ensuring designs remain highly commercial and scalable for bulk.

Maintain strong commercial awareness across bestsellers, competitor activity and customer performance to drive relevant design decisions.

Partner closely with internal teams to ensure designs are delivered on time and to brief, supporting the full product lifecycle.

Where applicable, contribute to short lead development, ensuring speed to market without compromising aesthetic or quality.

Person Specification:
Proven experience designing soft wovens within a supplier or retail environment, with strong commercial awareness and a clear understanding of customer needs.

Confident and credible presenting to customers, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships.

A feminine, fashionable aesthetic with a good knowledge of prints and the ability to interpret trends into commercially viable product.

Neat, feminine and visually appealing handwriting, with strong attention to detail in presentation work.

Organised, proactive and comfortable working at pace across multiple accounts and seasons.

Knowledge of short lead production is advantageous.

Must be able to work 5 days per week in the office.
