Job description

We are recruiting for a leading fashion supplier who are looking for a Senior Designer across Teen, Youth and Older Girlswear to join their growing design team. Based in London, this is a customer-facing role for an experienced and commercially driven designer with a strong understanding of the youth and older girls market. The successful candidate will have the confidence to present ideas clearly and persuasively to buyers, while working independently to deliver trend-led, commercial ranges.

You will play a key role in creating versatile, fashion-forward collections across jersey, softs and multi-product, ensuring ranges meet both customer briefs and trading requirements.

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Design and develop commercially focused ranges across jersey, softs and multi-product that align with customer briefs, target price points and brand handwriting.
  • Present ranges, concepts and design developments to buyers with confidence, clearly communicating ideas and responding to feedback.
  • Translate emerging trends into commercially viable product suitable for both the youth and older girls markets.
  • Work independently to manage multiple accounts and product categories, maintaining strong organisation and attention to detail.
  • Maintain strong commercial awareness across bestsellers, competitor activity and customer performance to inform design direction.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including product development and merchandising to ensure ranges are delivered on time and to brief.

Person Specification:

  • 5-7 years' experience designing across jersey, softs and multi-product.
  • Strong understanding of the teen, youth and older girls markets, with the ability to design appropriately for each customer and age range.
  • Confident presenting to buyers, with strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships.
  • A trend-aware, commercial handwriting with the ability to translate fashion direction into wearable, scalable product.
  • Highly organised, proactive and comfortable working independently across multiple seasons and accounts.
