After a great success in Paris, the “Christian Dior, Designer of Dreams” exhibition will take place in London, at the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) announced the museum on Sunday the 1st.
It will be the most important exhibition ever dedicated to Dior in the UK. From the 2nd of February to the 14th of July 2019, 500 objects, accessories, illustrations, fragrances and clothes will be introduced to you, alongside with also 200 haute couture creations.
From 1947 to nowadays, discover the whole story and history of the Maison Christian Dior throughout the main designer’s journey and the 5 who followed him.
Specially created for the British public, a new section will explore the designer relation with the English culture. Between his love for the architecture and tailor costumes from Savile Row, “ there is no country, except mine, whose daily life I like more” was quoted by Christian Dior about The United Kingdom in his autobiography.
The designer who changed the face of fashion by creating his ‘New Look’ in 1947 is inviting you to discover or re-discover the outfit that changed feminity and its shape.
