Working in recruitment will give you the opportunity to work with different companies, different divisions and people, on a variety of different and unusual roles. Specialising within the fashion and retail sector will give you an excellent insight into how different companies operate and what they look for in their candidates. You will react in real-time to challenging and varying market events which will ensure that your knowledge of the industry will be constantly updated and developed.

The Impact You Have on People’s Lives

Few things in life have a bigger impact on an individual and their family than landing or missing out on a great job. It is a very rewarding feeling when you help someone to land their dream role as you have made a huge impact with the next step in their lives. As a recruiter, it is easy to maintain a high level of excitement and commitment to excellence for this reason. You really can make a difference to people’s lives and often follow them as their career progresses. The longer you are in recruitment, the more likely it is for a once candidate of yours to become a client.

It is a great feeling to know that you have helped someone, whether it be a graduate looking for their first job or a senior level candidate looking for that new challenge.

Quick Progression

In recruitment, becoming senior takes less time so you can progress quickly if you work hard. By developing strong client and candidate relationships, you will begin to build a reputation for yourself that will be useful when carrying out business development and reaching out to new clients when becoming senior.

The competition is exciting! The fast-paced nature of the recruitment industry means that often several agencies are working on the same role as you. Competing for the placement is exhilarating and motivating.

It’s a well-known fact that recruiters can earn good money, often with benefits and incentives on top. If you want to work hard for good rewards, then recruitment is the perfect industry for you!

Recruiters rely on the people and environment around them to be successful, so everyone pulls together to keep each other motivated and energised! If you want to work within a supportive, team-focused environment then recruitment is for you! The sociable nature of recruitment companies often means that there are celebratory nights out and team-based incentives.
