As an Italian girl based in London, I’ve been so impressed and amazed by the way English people know how to celebrate Christmas.  I’m not saying that in Italy we don’t know how to do it…It is the opposite and we are famous for our traditions! We do consider Christmas the most important festival of the year! You can find us sitting around a big table having amazing food, spending time with our families and friends, playing cards while drinking the best Italian wine… but thanks to my lovely team here at trp recruitment, I have had the change to be involved in all  aspects of this traditional Christmas celebration in London, from decorations and a tree in our office, to the fabulous tradition of the office Secret Santa, Christmas jumper day as well as traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings which we all enjoyed as a team together in a very quant traditional English pub!  Guess what? I’ve absolutely loved it!

Because I’ve never had an English Christmas Dinner before, my MD Shelley Pinto had the great idea to organise the event in a typical English Pub where myself and 2 other Italian consultants here had our first turkey dinner   with roast potatoes and vegetables! I can still remember its juicy taste…It was absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere was so warm and friendly, surrounded by the sound of Christmas crackers everywhere (we don’t have them in Italy so I will bring some home with me to Italy to surprise my family that I’m sure they will love it J)

We had so much fun and we didn’t miss the opportunity to celebrate our business achievements and successes for the year .

What is most important as an Italian girl based in London though, is that I felt like I was home…because despite the differences between our cultures and traditions, Christmas is not that different when you celebrate and spend time with the people you love! A special thanks to my lovely team at trp recruitment and a Merry Christmas to all of you!
