Job description
My client is a growing supplier of Home and Beauty products, working with key retailers. They are looking for a Merchandiser to help ensure products move smoothly from factory to customer. Working closely with suppliers, logistics partners, and retail customers, you will support forecasting, stock planning, and order coordination to ensure products are available at the right time. Main responsibilities & Duties will include
Critical Path & Supply Chain Coordination
- Manage factory and customer critical paths to ensure on-time delivery.
- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to track production and shipments.
- Identify and resolve potential delays across production, logistics and delivery.
Demand Planning & Inventory
- Develop forecasts based on sales trends and customer demand.
- Monitor product performance and sales data to support stock planning.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure availability while minimising excess stock.
Purchase Orders & Order Fulfilment
- Process and manage customer purchase orders.
- Raise and manage factory purchase orders in line with forecasts and demand.
- Coordinate order fulfilment with factories and logistics partners.
Product Listings & Data
- Manage product listings across retailer systems and client platforms.
- Maintain accurate product, packaging, and logistics data.
Logistics & Packaging
- Plan freight schedules with logistics partners.
- Ensure packaging specifications, carton sizes, and logistics requirements meet customer standards.
- Prepare and manage logistics documentation.
Supplier & Customer Setup
- Support onboarding of new factories and customers, ensuring processes and documentation are in place.
Person Specification
- Experience in merchandising, supply chain, or operations within a retail or supplier environment.
- An interest in Beauty and Home
- Strong understanding of critical path management and logistics.
- Experience with forecasting, stock management, and purchase order processing.
- Familiarity with retailer systems and product listing processes.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively.
- Confident using data and Excel to support planning and decision-making.
