Job description

We are looking for a commercially astute Senior Merchandiser - Ecommerce/Trading to join our fashion-led business on a 12-month maternity cover. This role sits at the heart of the online operation, owning trading performance across the UK e-commerce channel and ensuring the right product, at the right time, in the right place. Blending commercial instinct with strong analytical thinking, you will drive seasonal planning, in-season trading and inventory strategy, working closely with Buying, Digital Marketing and Supply Chain to deliver a compelling, customer-first online proposition.

This is a 1 year maternity cover role

Main Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Own and drive the seasonal e-commerce trade strategy, delivering against sales, margin, stock and conversion targets.
  • Lead OTB management, assortment planning and in-season trading decisions to maximise sell-through and stock efficiency.
  • Shape category-level merchandising, pricing and NOS strategies, balancing trend, availability and commercial performance.
  • Manage the online product and launch calendar, overseeing seasonal, replenishment and in-season buys.
  • Define and execute promotional and markdown strategies, supporting peak periods and key fashion moments.
  • Lead weekly trade meetings and performance reviews, translating data into clear, commercial actions and insight.

Person Specification:

  • 8+ years' experience in merchandising or trading within fashion e-commerce or omnichannel retail.
  • Strong commercial mindset with advanced Excel skills and the ability to confidently interpret trading data.
  • Proven experience managing OTB, stock flow and in-season trading in a fast-paced fashion environment.
  • Confident, collaborative and adaptable, able to step in quickly and influence cross-functional teams.
