Job description

We're hiring a Senior Designer across Dresses to join an impressive supplier who work closely with ASOS & River Island.

Based in Leicester, this highly creative role is for a Designer who lives and breathes the ASOS customer - combining bold, trend-right ideas with sharp commercial judgement to deliver best-selling dresses at pace.

You'll be the primary point of contact for the account, from order stage through to production, presenting to Buyers with confidence, and translating feedback into fast, right-first-time product.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead design for ASOS dresses (with emphasis on evening/occasion) from order stage to production.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the account: present ranges, trends and deal with all enquiries.
  • Deliver best-selling dress designs each season
  • Create production-ready CADs/tech packs, spec measurements, and garment construction notes; partner with Garment Tech through fit sessions to final sign-off.
  • Source fabrics and trims with mills and suppliers.
  • Own the seasonal critical path - prioritise workload to protect sampling, fit, and ex-factory dates.
  • Conduct regular comp shops & inspiration trips and convert insights into actionable product ideas and opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations: mood, colour, fabrics and designs tailored to Buyers briefs and conversations.

Person specification:

  • Previous experience as a Designer or Senior Designer with strong dresses experience.
  • Exceptional customer focus, strong feel for ASOS trends, silhouettes and fabrics.
  • Confident, presenter and communicator; comfortable leading Buyer meetings and building strong working relationships.
  • Advanced Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop
  • Solid understanding of garment construction
  • Proactive self-starter with a willingness to travel for comp shops, inspiration, fabric shows, and factory development trips as required.
