Job Description

We have exclusively partnered with a very exciting billion-pound traditional games business. Seeking a Sales Director to take the world of play to the next level. This is a global business who partners with some of the world's most well-known movie and entertainment brands. We are looking for the Sales Director to expand the organisation's relationships and market share with gaming, supermarket and online retailers. This is a remote role however head office is in the South East with meetings on average twice a month.

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Translate sales objectives set by the management team into clearly defined objectives for the region for which you are responsible to ensure that the goals for the whole of the Sales & Marketing department can be realised.

  • Map out market evolution's, actions and market position of the competition based on strong consultation with your Representatives and Agents and/or through your direct customer contacts or based on market research to ensure that we can anticipate on commercial opportunities and can take up a strong position with regard to the competition.

  • Maintain contacts with the most important customers and prospects and bring about a good commercial relationship with agents to ensure that a positive and long -term relationship is built up with customers.

  • Oversee consistent pricing and the correctness of outgoing quotations to ensure that the customer is given an honest and correct proposal.

  • Coordinate and organise the different activities of the department according to the priorities and competencies of each and the requirements of the customer, regardless of whether it is an internal or external customer, to ensure an efficient and effective service can be offered that meets the quality criteria of the organisation within the set terms.

  • Motivate team employees to ensure that their competencies, skills and know-how are used in the best possible manner.

  • Ensure you are well-informed about the evolution's and developments related to export regulations (Incoterms, taxes, customs practices, etc.) and that your knowledge is up-to date within the context of the amendments to regulations to ensure your credibility can be strengthened by offering a service that is continuously based on updated knowledge."

Person Specification:

  • Experience currently operating at Head of Sales or Sales Director level.

  • Exceptional commercial & analytical skills with multi-channel experience.

  • Ideally have experience in the gaming, entertainment, cards industry or a passion for the sector.

  • Ideally well networked across the mainstream retailers, key online retailers.

  • A proven leader with the ability to lead, manage and develop your sales team.

  • Someone who is tenacious, resilient and wants to get stuck in.

  • Engaging, approachable and a good relationship builder who can earn the respect of stakeholders, peers and colleagues

  • Proven track record of delivering positive commercial outcomes

  • Creative, innovative and solution oriented mindset

  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, negotiation and influencing skills

  • Extensive leadership sales experience directly to clients
