Job Description


We are currently working with a leading supplier of fast fashion across the UK and EU and they are actively looking for a fashion graduate to join their team in SRI-LANKA. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a fast paced environment and getting to learn all about the supplier side of the fashion industry . This a newly created role in the organisation of a muti product Design department which helps to support and facilitate the creativity of the department. This role requires excellent organisational, communication and design skills. You will need to be creative with a well-developed sense of colour and knowledge of children's wear working across woven and jersey textile fabrics and prints.
You will be able to work to tight deadlines and thrive in a busy department with ever changing priorities.

Main Responsibilities will include
* Assist in the research of trends within the children's wear market,
* Managing and maintain the archive of past season's best-selling styles
* Order sample fabrics, yarns & trims where required and keeping a record of their costs and lead times
* Liaise between Production, Design, Merchandising and Wholesale departments, feeding back information on product performance and general comments where necessary
* Providing general administration support for the department on a daily basis
* Create seasonal line sheets for relevant departments Design Based
* Assist Designers with the production of seasonal colour palettes, assist with print and fabric sourcing
* Using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create CADs
* Manage colour standards and lab dips, helping to maintain critical path deadlines
* Managing the entire sampling fabric process in conjunction with the Design team
* create tech packs/ specs using Illustrator & Excel and actioning first samples with factories
* Amending samples for wholesale selling
* Taking notes in fits meetings and actioning second samples with factories

Person Specifications
* Fashion related Degree
* Knowledge of Garment construction
* At least 6 months -1 work placement ' experience in a fashion company
* Excellent working knowledge of Excel, Microsoft, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
* Be organised
* Have good communication skills
* Flexible
* Have can-do attitude
