Job Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Ladieswear Garment Technologist to join the team of this leading Ladieswear supplier covering outerwear and tailoring.
You must have at least 4 years' experience working in a similar environment with UK customers and factories in the Far East. Experience working with ladies outerwear and tailoring is a must.
Main responsibilities Will Include:
- Keep track of the critical path and update system.
- Receive and check all production samples.
- Check all inspection reports on a regular basis.
- Attend orders meetings and weekly reviews to discuss critical paths
- Review comments from previous fits and check all amendments have been followed through
- Measure and prepare samples for fit meeting and attend fits with the customer, taking fit notes
- Regular contact with factories to ensure all samples are sent on time
- Attending customer facing fit sessions.
- Good technical knowledge of different fabrics.
- Sealing.
- lab dips.
- Chasing samples for production.
- Checking samples.
Person Requirements:
- Experience working with Far East factories.
- Knowledge of supply chain management.
- Must be able to communicate at all levels.
- This role requires a person who is organised, pro-active, a team player and also able to work on their own.
- Able to work to deadlines.
- Able to communicate clearly.
- Problem solving skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- At least 4 years' experience working with a supplier.
- Attending customer facing fit sessions.
- Good technical knowledge of different fabrics.
- Experience working with multi products.
- Very organised.
