Job description
We are currently partnering with leading global sportswear brands who are seeking a talented Garment Technologist to join their dynamic team based in Watford. This role is to work across men's and womenswear
Main Responsibilities Will Include:
- Collaborate with designers and product developers to translate concepts into specs, workbooks, and factory-ready instructions.
- Measure, review, and approve all sample stages (Proto, Pre-bulk, SMS, PPS, shipment) ensuring fit, quality, and consistency.
- Lead and document fit sessions, providing clear, commercial feedback to factories with photos and solutions.
- Maintain and update grade rules, size standards, and fit consistency for men's and women's products.
- Monitor production timelines, resolve technical or manufacturing issues, and ensure compliance with quality and ethical standards.
- Ensure all garments meet safety, labelling, and environmental requirements.
- Track seasonal approvals and comments to maintain accurate style records.
Person Specifications:
- Previous years' prior experience in Garment Technologist role.
- Technical training and understanding of pattern cutting.
- Strong knowledge of fabric, garment construction, technical drawing, measuring and fitting.
- Good understanding of garment construction, textiles and the manufacturing process.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage own time and prioritise workload to meet deadlines. .
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly MS Excel.
- Experience working with sportswear product is preferable but not essential
