Job description
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-orientated Approvals Coordinator to manage the approval process of both physical samples and conceptual designs across apparel ranges for this incredibly successful fashion business. This role ensures that all garments meet brand, design, and quality standards before proceeding to production.
This role would suit someone with experience in a Buying or Production Assistant role, or similar, with hands-on experience in managing samples and is a great opportunity to step up and play a central role in the product development process.
Based in Central London offices with hybrid working available.
Main Responsibilities will include:
Coordinate the receipt, tracking, and organisation of physical samples from suppliers
Inspect samples for accuracy, quality, and adherence to design specifications
Managing strike off, lab dips, pre production and production samples daily
Maintain and manage a structured sample library for internal use and archiving
Manage the approvals process for conceptual designs, ensuring alignment with brand identity and seasonal direction
Act as the primary point of contact between design, development, and suppliers for all sample-related approvals
Communicate clear, actionable feedback to suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring revisions are implemented correctly and on time
Collaborate with the quality control team to identify risks early and ensure samples meet established standards before production
Person Specification:
Previous experience in managing samples in a retail or supplier environment
Strong knowledge of fabric types, garment construction, and apparel production processes
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
Confident communicator with the ability to clearly convey feedback and manage cross-functional communication
Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
