An opportunity has arisen for one of my clients who are one of the leading suppliers to most major UK retailers for an Account Manager - Womenswear working across both jersey and woven's working across some of their largest and established accounts They are looking for an experienced account manager with relevant product experience to join their existing team.
Main Responsibilities Will Include:
- Communicate with Buyers/customers on day to day issues
- Product development and managing critical paths
- Coordinate activity of fabric, garment techs, merchandising and design teams to ensure on-time delivery of product development projects
- Provide guidance and assistance to design teams to ensure product development aligns with internal strategy and customer strategy
- In conjunction with the design team, present a new product to customers
- Negotiate prices in line with customer requirements and targets and agree on cost prices with customers
- Some overseas travel may be required
Person Specifications:
- Relevant product knowledge within ladies Jersey and or wovens
- Experienced working for a supplier and managing high volume accounts
- Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
- Good MS Office applications knowledge especially Word and Excel
- Knowledge of production cycle in factories in China, Bangladesh & India is desirable
- Experience of product development, sourcing, trends, and production
- Budgeting and forecasting skills are desirable
- Full clean driving Licence
