Job description

We're partnering with an established fashion supplier to recruit an Account Manager to join their commercial team on a Maternity Cover contract. This role is ideal for someone with strong kidswear experience, particularly candidates who have a strong retail buying background looking to transition into an exciting account management role.

In this role, you'll be at the heart of the action, building strong client relationships, spotting new opportunities, and maximising sales with a fast-moving, trend-led approach. Partnering closely with in-house design and print teams, you'll help create collections that excite buyers and deliver real commercial results.

Main Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Managing and developing key UK and European retail accounts across girlswear and boyswear
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with buyers and senior stakeholders
  • Driving sales performance through proactive account management and commercial strategy
  • Presenting seasonal kidswear collections with confidence and clear product knowledge
  • Working closely with design and print teams to shape trend-right, commercially viable ranges
  • Identifying new business opportunities and supporting account growth
  • Monitoring sales performance, forecasting and managing budgets by account
  • Negotiating pricing, margins and volumes to maximise profitability
  • Keeping up to date with kidswear market trends, competitors and retail landscape

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience within the kidswear industry is essential
  • Strong commercial background, ideally from retail buying background
  • Excellent understanding of kidswear product development, trends, and the retail calendar
  • Confident communicator with strong presentation and relationship-building skills
  • Commercially minded with the ability to analyse sales data and spot opportunities
  • Organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple accounts in a fast-paced environment
