We are currently working on an exciting opportunity for a highly creative and fashion-forward Womenswear Soft Tailoring Designer. Our client , a well-established and respected womenswear supplier to some of the UK's leading high street retailers is seeking an experienced designer with a deep passion for fashion, a strong sense of personal style, and a talent for translating trends into commercially successful collections.
This role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes fashion, wears the latest styles, and is always ahead of emerging trends. You'll join a dynamic and collaborative design team, contributing to seasonal collections across casual tailoring and soft wovens. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design trend-led, commercial womenswear collections with a focus on tailoring and soft woven garments
  • Develop seasonal ranges aligned with key UK retailer profiles and customer expectations
  • Conduct in-depth trend research and translate insights into relevant, marketable designs
  • Collaborate with the design and sales teams to bring concepts through to final product
  • Present design ideas confidently to both internal stakeholders and retail clients
  • Continuously monitor global fashion trends to inject fresh perspectives into each collection
  • Manage sampling where required to ensure design intent is preserved
  • Lead and attend client meetings with professionalism and creative insight

Candidate Profile:

  • Strong background in womenswear tailoring and soft woven design, preferably within a supplier or retail-led environment
  • A sharp eye for trend with the ability to translate runway and street style into mass-market appeal
  • Confident presenter with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Organised, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple deadlines
  • A proactive and collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-moving, office-based setting
