An opportunity has a risen for a strong ladies woven designer to work for my client ,a leading supplier of ladieswear to several large fashion UK retailers. In this role you will be deisgning multiproduct ladies woven , a feminine young trend led design portfolio is required for this role along with the ability to work in a commercial fast paced environment
A strong commercial supplier background is required
Main Duties and responsibilities will include
- Complete trend research, design and develop ranges working with the overseas factories
- Work closely and liaise with factories in Bangladesh China and Sri Lanka
- Ability to create bestselling ranges
- Attend regular meetings with buyers when required
- Required to work in a fast paced environment, high volume design/development
- Sourcing of new fabrics and trims
Person Specifications :
- Design experience within ladies woven multiproduct
- Previous supplier experience working with large volume retialers
- Good understanding of garment costing
- Excellent communication & organisational skills
