We are currently recruiting for a creative and commercially minded Womenswear Tailoring Designer to join a well-established and respected womenswear supplier working with some of the UK's leading high street retailers.
This opportunity is ideal for a designer with 2-3 years' experience within womenswear tailoring or soft woven product, who is looking to further develop their career within a fast-paced, high-volume supplier environment. You will be passionate about fashion, highly trend-aware, and eager to build your confidence while contributing to commercially successful collections.
Working as part of a busy and supportive design team, you will assist across casual tailoring and soft woven categories, helping to translate key trends into wearable, retail-ready product while gaining valuable exposure to the full design and development process.

Main responsibilities:

  • Supporting the design and development of trend-led, commercially focused womenswear collections, with an emphasis on tailoring and woven garments

  • Assisting in building seasonal ranges aligned to key UK high street retailer profiles

  • Conducting trend research and contributing ideas through mood boards, shop reports, and fabric direction

  • Working closely with sales and technical teams to support the development process from concept through to production

  • Preparing design packs, CADs, and technical information accurately and efficiently

  • Assisting with sample management, fittings, and amends to ensure product meets commercial and quality expectations

  • Attending internal and client meetings to support presentations and build confidence in product knowledge

  • Keeping up to date with global trends, competitors, and retail movement to help inform design direction

Person specification:

  • 2-3 years' experience in womenswear design, ideally with exposure to tailoring or woven product

  • Experience within a supplier environment preferred but not essential

  • Strong trend awareness with an understanding of commercial high street positioning

  • Confident using Adobe Illustrator and preparing clear, accurate design packs

  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment

  • Eager to learn, develop, and take on increasing responsibility
