An opportunity has arisen for a Head of Wholesale Sales to join the team for my client, a Luxury Ladies, and menswear brand . they are looking to appoint an ambassador an experienced Luxury sales professional with a proven track record and ideally experience working within a start-up luxury brand - someone who is highly motivated, and who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Main responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and manage a highly productive sales team, in order to maximize the brand portfolio's business. 
  • Ensure strict respect of corporate visual guidelines to nurture a premium image in line with brand standards. 
  • Meet wholesale sales goals as well as achieve administration objectives within a given outlined budget.
  • Develop, direct, and oversee appropriate Sales strategy to maximize the possibilities of meeting and/or exceeding the company's objectives.
  •  Manage sell-through to ensure that the company achieves its retail goals, taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Plan the B2B wholesale strategy in line with business goals
  • Budget, forecast and plan activities for the wholesale strategy
  • Financial and data modelling and reporting, ownership of the channel P&L
  • Assist in the preparation of the sales plan for each selling campaign
  • Research and monitor markets to identify new potential partners; continually evaluate and elevate current stockists
  • Lead sales campaigns and participate in fashion weeks; present the collection and assist buyers with product selection for order placement - taking into account customer profiles and best sellers
  • Build positive relationships and maintain excellent communication with buyers to make sure collections are properly represented; analyse sell-throughs, promptly offer reorders, and keep buyers informed of order progress
  • Work with production, operations and finance teams to ensure delivery deadlines are met
  • Monitor incoming payments, issue account statements
  • Present production with feedback from buyers, agents and distributors in order to identify growth opportunities
  • Work with production on recommended retail prices for new collections
  • Work with marketing to establish key account marketing plans to drive sell through, brand awareness, and to secure collaborations with strategic partners
  • Plan and develop monthly marketing emails providing brand updates
  • Monitor wholesale partner websites to ensure correct imagery and information is being used
  • Develop and manage internal and external reporting to maximise sales team, agent and distributor performance, and to provide data and insights to the management team
  • Determine the composition of the retailer distribution in terms of account/door openings, closings, space/location improvements and new counter installations.
  • Develop sales strategy to ensure brand and launch targets are achieved and brand image at point of sale is maintained.

Person Specifiication

  • 5 to 10+ years of experience in wholesale global sales
  • Proven track record for success at Regional and International level
  • Understand retail standards
  • Established retail relationships with international account experience
  • Strong analytical abilities and organisational skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and strategic agility
  • Ability to lead, develop and grow a business
  • Knowledge of Office Suite skills (Query tools, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in leading and growing new brands, luxury fashion market experience essential
