Job Description

This renowned quintessentially british heritage brand has seen its brand grow from strength to strength over many decades.
Predominately known for their beautiful classic knitwear pieces and with its major flagshipship store in Mayfair this brand has proven to have stood the test of time bringing  new creative and innovative twists to its most recent catwalk collections.

They are currently looking for an experienced Product developer to join thier team.


As an experienced Product Developer you will establish credibility and support the Senior Product Manager in managing the Critical Path and Development of Collections including Fashion Show Collections.
You will provide your internal and external partners with concise and timely detailed product information and documentation.
You will regularly travel to suppliers continuously reviewing and reporting on their ability to manufacture world class products that are delivered on the agreed critical path dates.

Key Responsibilities  
  •  Effectively liaise with partners to ensure that lead times are respected for the issue of range plans, design packs, pre-production and gold seal sample sets. 
  • Accurately interpret design sketches with manufacturers and ensure that prototypes and samples are cost effectively manufactured to Pringle standards.   
  •   Ensure world-class quality is adopted by all partners including International warehousing and AQL teams.
  •  Proto-types and Gold seal samples must be costed and signed off prior to the commencement of production.
  •  Assume full responsibility for managing the technical development of all samples
  •  AQL reports will be accurately maintained, analysed, interrogated and actioned effectively.
  •  Adhere to your proto-type, sample and production financial budgets.
  •  Detail, maintain and communicate garment specifications using our Freeborders or Movex systems.
  •  
  •  Establish colour standards for fabrics and fibres in conjunction with design. Specify, approve and control garment fit, construction and pantone continuity throughout the sample and production processes.
  • Support the Design Team during fitting sessions by demonstrating sound technical knowledge with the ability to translate alterations/measurement adjustments into clear and accurate comments for suppliers.
  •  
  • All Raw materials have to be supported by the supplier’s documentation of conformity. Products will also be independently tested, the results of which will be maintained and communicated to the relevant partners.
  •  
  •  Liaise with Design, sales and production teams to sign off Collections prior to confirming the details to our CAD partners.
  •  
  •  Travel to Fabric and Yarn fairs to be aware of trends and develop relationships with key partners.
  •  Adhere to business practices, polices and procedures at all times.
 You will ideally have had experience as a product developer working with factories/Mills in Italy working at the high luxury end of the market.

Fluent Italian language preffered.
