Job Description

A wonderful opportunity has become available for a Designer with experience designing COMMERICAL SPACES to join a fashion brand working on their global store openings. I am looking for someone exceptionally creative to join their tore design team. YOU MUST HAVE VECTORWORKS EXPERIENCE.

Main Responsibilities will Include:

  • Receive briefs & produce a schedule with your manager to achieve deadlines set by partners.

  • Be confident in producing concepts and communicating them to senior management and directors.

  • Create accurate design layouts, comprising of 2d plans, 2d elevations, 3d renderings, based on a partner's brief. Excellent attention to detail.

  • Confident in designing store furniture.

  • Be responsible for overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, often with tight deadlines to meet under the guidance of the design manager.

  • Attend senior meetings when managers are away from the business. A strong organization and communication skills.

  • Producing prop packages and prop layout guides.

  • Keep design managers updated on continual project status, for ongoing efficiencies within the team.

  • Able to respond effectively to complex questions whilst working and switching between various projects.

  • Liaise with external contractors on the design and production of store design elements.

  • Excellent creative ability is necessary to uncover fresh concepts, while adhering to brand guidelines and fulfilling the brief, in order to build a strong brand identity in each respective setting.

  • Maintain a constant awareness of market trends and new materials. Establish connections with suppliers of new materials, including locally sourced materials.

  • As a mentor, support the Junior/mid-weight members of the team by providing guidance on concessions, outlets, stores, and pop-ups.

  • Attending regular internal design team meetings and assisting the designers on the conceptual and technical side of the design process.

  • Fill out purchasing templates for relevant projects & manage budgets.

  • Fill out Shipping Documents.

  • Work with shipping on the organization and delivery of store design items worldwide. Including assisting with packing appropriately.

Person Specification

  • Vectorworks (is a must). A strong portfolio of work to back this, including sketches, examples of 2D work and evidence of thought process.

  • Sketch up, V-ray or Renderworks

  • Photoshop or illustrator

  • Office 365 - Excel and Word capabilities required.

  • Bachelor's degree in interior Architecture / degree equivalent
