Job description

We are excited to be recruiting for a Senior Print Designer to join a well-established and growing ladieswear supplier on a 12-month maternity leave contract, working with UK supermarkets and on-trend high street retailers. This role sits within a thriving print department and offers a great opportunity to join a creative and collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
You will be part of a dynamic print team, focusing on creating trend-led, commercial, and feminine print designs suitable for volume-driven fashion ranges.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing original all-over prints and selected graphics for ladieswear collections

  • Researching trends, creating mood boards, and contributing to seasonal print direction

  • Working closely with design and sales teams to develop commercial, best-selling print ranges

  • Preparing print artworks and ensuring all files are production-ready

  • Supporting the team with print administration and archiving where required

  • Attending internal meetings and contributing creative input to presentations

Person specification:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar print design role within fashion

  • Strong, feminine handwriting with experience across stripes, florals, ditsy prints, conversational and abstract designs

  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator)

  • Good understanding of print techniques and fabric bases

  • Strong commercial awareness with a good understanding of UK high street and supermarket trends

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team

This is a studio-based role (5 days per week) on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract, offering the opportunity to work in a creative, fast-paced environment where your designs will have a direct impact on high-volume, high-street collections.
If you're a creative and commercially minded print designer looking for your next contract role, we'd love to hear from you.
