Job Description
We are working with a successful fashion supplier to the UK high street that are looking for a manual pattern cutter to join their expanding team.
This role is to work on ladies soft woven multi products.
The successful candidate will have prior pattern cutting experience working with a supplier and must be very accurate and able to work in a busy environment.
Main Responsibilities Will Include:
- Creating accurate and intricate patterns for women's clothing, considering various styles and silhouettes.
- In-depth understanding of garment construction, fabric properties, and sewing techniques to ensure optimal fit and comfort.
- Working closely with designers, effectively interpreting their creative vision and translating it into tangible patterns.
- Problem-Solving to troubleshoot and address challenges that may arise during the pattern-making process
- Manage time to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality patterns within specified timelines.
- Paper pattern cutting, considering intricate details, seam allowances, and accurate measurements to achieve the desired fit.
- Working with jersey and woven fabrics
- Doing Pattern amendments when required
- Prioritising styles in line with production critical path
Person Specifications:
- Minimum of 3 years experience
- Experience in soft woven product.
- An understanding of different fabrics, and how they behave during the pattern-cutting and garment construction process.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written are essential for this role.
- Be accurate and methodical.
- Pay attention to detail.
- Enjoy working in a busy environment.
- Must be extremely organised and able to prioritise workload to meet strict deadlines.
