Job description

This is a senior technical leadership opportunity within a fast-moving, high-volume branded fashion business. The role will lead the technical function across womenswear multi-product, ensuring consistent fit, product integrity, quality and compliance, and driving right-first-time delivery across the category.

Working closely with Design, Merchandising, Sourcing and Supply Chain, you will set the technical direction, improve ways of working, and reduce in-season risk through strong fit governance, clear standards and supplier capability.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the technical and QA strategy across womenswear multi-product, aligned to commercial and brand objectives
  • Setting and reporting on technical KPIs including right-first-time, returns, AQL pass rates, critical path adherence and cost of quality
  • Owning fit governance across the category, including blocks, grade rules, sealing and consistency of standards
  • Overseeing construction, make, workmanship and fabric performance standards, including testing requirements
  • Managing the technical critical path and ensuring timely approvals to support launch dates and delivery targets
  • Ensuring products meet UK, EU and international compliance requirements, including safety, chemical and labelling standards
  • Using returns data, quality KPIs and customer feedback to identify risk and drive preventative action plans
  • Building strong relationships with offshore suppliers, driving capability assessments, performance improvements and targeted training

Person specification:

  • Extensive experience in a senior technical/QA role within womenswear multi-product is required
  • Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to develop and coach technical teams
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit, grading, fabrics and testing across multi-category womenswear
  • Confident operating in a fast-paced, high-volume branded environment with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Strong understanding of global compliance and quality standards, with a proactive, solutions-led mindset
