A fantastic new role has opened up with our client, a leading supplier of ladies' knitwear to top retailers across the UK
Due to continued expansion, they are now looking for a talented Ladies Knitwear Designer to join their friendly and growing team.
Based in the vibrant heart of Manchester, this is a brilliant opportunity for a confident and self-motivated designer who is ready to take the lead in a rapidly expanding business. You'll be working at the mid to premium level, involved from initial concept through to customer meetings and presentations
Our client offers the chance to make a real impact in their thriving ladies' knitwear division. You'll need a strong eye for emerging trends and a solid understanding of yarns, construction, and the full design-to-delivery process.
Main Responsibilities will include:
- * Transforming trends into commercially successful knitwear collections
- * Using market insights to guide product development and deliver tailored ranges
- * Creating seasonal in-house collections for a variety of customers
- * Collaborating with product development teams to bring concepts to life
- * Driving innovation by identifying fresh ideas and upcoming trends
- * Producing detailed hand-drawn specs for development
- * Managing overseas supplier communication and development independently
- * Presenting collections and leading customer meetings with professionalism and confidence
Person Specification:
- * Previous experience in ladies knitwear design preferably some supplier experience
- * Proficient in CAD and Adobe Illustrator
- * Excellent trend awareness with a passion for design
- * Confident presentation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with buyers
- * Strong communication skills across all levels
- * In-depth knowledge of yarns, gauges, and garment construction
