Job description

We're looking for a proactive, enthusiastic, and commercial Junior Designer to join our client's busy womenswear wovens division, supporting the Design Manager and working closely with major UK high street accounts. This is a fast-paced role with plenty of variety - you'll be involved in the full creative process from trend research and concept development through to production.

If you're a driven individual with previous experience in a similar design role, a feminine handwriting, and a strong understanding of womenswear wovens and print, we'd love to hear from you!

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Create and update CAD designs in line with customer briefs and emerging trends.
  • Assist the Design Manager at all stages of the design process across UK high street accounts.
  • Prepare accurate, detailed tech packs to support sampling and production.
  • Conduct trend and market research, presenting insights to inform seasonal direction.
  • Liaise with factories, suppliers, and external print/graphic designers to ensure timely delivery of samples and assets.
  • Manage sample development, tracking progress, and maintaining the fabric library.
  • Support studio organisation, showroom preparation, and day-to-day team operations.
  • Deliver samples and materials for meetings, photoshoots, customer visits and supplier drop-offs when required.

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience in a commercial womenswear design role, ideally within wovens.
  • Proficient CAD skills - Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop essential.
  • Strong technical knowledge, confident producing clear and accurate tech packs.
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for commercial trends.
