Job Description
A brilliant new opportunity has become available for a Junior Designer across Childrenswear to join an established thriving fashion business who supply to the UK & International high street.
You will be working with the Senior Design team supporting on both girlswear & boyswear multiproduct within the age group of 5-15 years. You will need an eye for commercial product and flair for trends, you will have previous experience in a similar role with the desire to develop your career in a dynamic and fast-paced company.
This role will be working with a lovely team of established designers and offers great career progression and some hybrid working.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Conducting research and direction boards to inform design concepts.
- Collaborating on fabric sourcing and creating boards for customer meetings.
- Working closely with the Senior Design team to develop CAD ranges (so supporting both boyswear and girlswear).
- Designing small capsule ranges to meet specific market needs.
- Conducting UK competitive shopping and preparing reports.
- Managing design administration tasks, including uploading onto the PLM system and liaising with overseas teams.
- Assisting with showroom merchandising and preparing for design meetings.
- Collaborating with the Senior Design team to compile seasonal trend presentations.
Person specification:
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience working across childrenswear.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Utilising graphic and print experience.
- Proactive attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and have an ability to work under own initiative.
- Friendly, positive and a team player!
