Job Description
A rare opportunity has arisen for one of my clients who are looking at strengthening their wholesale offering in the UK and within international markets. As such they are looking for an experienced Head of Wholesale to drive the business strategy for the brand.
The successful candidate must have a proven background in branded apparel and can demonstrate a track record of sales within the UK and ideally international business development. This role requires someone who is a charismatic leader with a strong personality who can influence and motivate at all levels.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Servicing existing customer base and business development across the UK and international markets
- Responsible for all budgets, plans, and forecasting
- Overseeing a small sales team
- Drive and develop the wholesale sales strategy
- Work closely with Marketing to drive maximum exposure of the brand through key customers
- Represent the brand at relevant trade shows and target new stockists
- Deal with new licensing opportunities for the brand
- Manage all new trade terms when introducing new wholesale partners
Person specification:
- A proven track record in branded apparel at a similar level
- Experience working for a retailer or fashion brand within the wholesale sector
- Previous experience managing a small team
- Strong contacts with UK and International Retailers
- Previous expertise working with licensing opportunities
- A strong people person with the ability to lead and influence
- Confident and dynamic with the ability to communicate clearly at all levels
