Job Description
I am seeking a Finance Manger to join a company based in Hertfordshire. This role will including preparation of budget, manage the monthly MIS & reporting, Cost control, Project profitability analysis, Negotiation and finalising terms with suppliers & vendors, Audit, coordinate with Central HR towards HR & Payroll matters etc. Undertake other specific. The Company has revenue of $30M and is part of a $1.4 billion group.
Main Responsibilities will include:
- Management of day-to-day accounts. Candidate will be supported by back-office team towards management of regular tractional accounting.
- General budgetary control
- Set up and work with CEO & CFO, Senior Managers/Execs of the Company on MIS, various forecasts including order pipe line & budgets and various other reports.
- Continuous monitoring of contracts and related profitability, providing inputs to management to take necessary action if financial/commercial objectives are not being met.
- Liaise with and manage Internal Auditors and Statutory Auditors for various company audits. Provide information to the auditors of Holding Company for consolidation of accounts.
- To work with legal teams for any contract and legal matters.
- To manage Company cash flow.
- To compare the business performance with benchmarks and provide inputs specifically to improve the financial performance.
- To manage bank, cash transactions including Sales and purchase.
- Receivables management and control.
- Responsible for other key functions such as VAT return, EC Sales, audit & taxation, costing etc.
- To be aware of and manage important business risks i.e. Commercial & Credit insurance, forex risk, general insurance etc.
- Laisse with common HR team for processing monthly payroll & manage HR activities in conjunction with UK HR Manager.
- To work as a team with other individuals and colleagues in the Company, sharing knowledge when appropriate, helping colleagues and promoting a spirit of mutual respect and support.
- Understand and abide by Company and departmental rules, policies and procedures.
- To carry out other duties as so requested by management at time to time.
Person Specification:
- Degree level education
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 5 year - 10 yrs experience / part qualified with 10 year+ experience
- Previous Experience and Knowledge:
- Preferred similar experience within a Garment supply/Retail-goods supply environment
- Experience in overall management of accounting and commercial aspects.
- Working closely with Finance Head
- Good communication skills for all levels
- Excellent technical accounting ability
- Strong time management and the ability to multi-task
- Proactive along with attention to detail
- Computer literate, SAP knowledge will be preferable.
