A fabulous opportunity has arisen for my client, a global, design-led apparel manufacturer and supply chain manager with Headquarters in Hong Kong, & offices in the UK, Bangladesh, China, India & Sri Lanka. My clients expertise lies across all product categories from essentials to fashion in Menswear, Ladieswear and Childrenswear supplying major large retail chains worldwide. They are now seeking a dynamic, experienced Director of Sales to spearhead their USA business with existing retailers. to be based in New York you must have contacts with major Retailers/ Brands in the US market across Men's, Ladies & Children's wear departments experience of working with Bangladesh, India & Vietnam sourcing is preferential.

Main Duties and responsibilities will include
To service and grow existing accounts in the USA with mid-market brands and retailers.
You should be able to put together a range, that is on-trend and showcases the companies'. capabilities - a collection to present to prospective new accounts.
Identifying new product opportunities as they emerge in the market.
Work closely with the overseas far east design team to ensure the collection is relevant for customer needs.
Continuous liaison with sourcing offices based in Bangladesh & India
Person Specification
Proven track record within a similar role working with large retailers/ brands in the US landscape.
Good customer relationships to be able to leverage the same for my client.
Able to assess the cost of a garment and be aware of Retail prices working backward to FOB prices.
Provide Intel on US landscape, work closely with offshore design teams to help prepare collections for target customers.
Experience of working with Bangladesh, India & Vietnam sourcing is preferential.
Well-rounded product knowledge across Wovens, Jersey & Knitwear
