Job Description

Amazing opportunity to work for a leading commercial and fast paced jewellery fashion company. You will be working as part of a friendly design team, designing and delivering tailored commercial products/ranges for a young fast fashion brand

They are looking for either a junior (2+ Years)or middle weight designer to join their team.

This is an opportunity with plenty of scope to progress and potentially design for wider areas of the business as they continue with their expansion. In return they can offer a competitive salary, excellent benefits package and ongoing training and development with opportunities to progress.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Undertake appropriate research, including competition shop analysis, producing trend report and presentations, to ensure a high level of awareness of current and emerging trends and 'must have' products. Apply this knowledge to own work, constantly seeking new selling opportunities while ensuring appropriate fit with the brand strategy.
  • Assist with creating first look mood boards, contributing to the inspirational themes, using colour, trend, handmade samples and design sheets. As required, produce work for and attend second look, range building and trade meetings.
  • Create inspiring designs, applying appropriate techniques and ideas that excite and inspire the customer. Producing clear and detailed specifications using appropriate design software.
  • Develop innovative and original products, with strong sensitivity to material and colour. Ensure products meet the customer profile and brand identity, delivering an appropriate balance of product assortment between high fashion and commerciality.
  • Be ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent in jewellery or accessories degree.
  • Be competent Adobe suit skills and good working knowledge with Microsoft office suit.
  • Possess creative flare, design experience, with good hand drawing skills and ability to use CAD.
