A new opportunity has a risen for a mid-level Ladies Casual Jacket Designer to work for my client ,a leading supplier of ladies wear to several large fashion UK retailers. This role will be working for one of their major accounts who are one of the largest fashion forward retailers .A commercial feminine young trend led design portfolio is required for this role with casual jackets experience along with the ability to work in a commercial fast paced environment .
Previous supplier experience is required for this role. Based in lovely Central London offices
Main Duties and responsibilities will include.
- Complete trend research, design and develop ranges working with the overseas factories.
- Work closely and liaise with factories in Bangladesh China and Sri Lanka
- Ability to create bestselling ranges.
- Attend regular meetings with buyers when required.
- Required to work in a fast paced environment, high volume design/development
- Sourcing of new fabrics and trims
Person Specifications :
- Design experience within ladies casual jackets
- Previous supplier experience working with large volume retailers.
- Good understanding of garment costing
- Excellent communication & organisational skills
