This role is to cover designing fast fashion multi-products in Denim for the Chinese market.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Category Design Manager is fully responsible for the success of the Denim category
- Analyse weekly sales reports and take action accordingly
- Manage the category design team members - train and ensure personal growth as well as staff needs
- Together with other Category Design Manager and creative team in charge of upgrading the collection and defining market needs for the Chinese market.
- Participate in definition of Main concepts and Trend stories, together with colour card
- Organise and participate in inspiration trips and supplier visits
- In charge of collection handoff to the buying team including fabrics, colour ways and style brief
- In charge of sample reviews
- At sample stage, actively participate at approval process with Creative team
- Keeping sample deadlines and control of Salesman
- Co-operate closely with the buying team
- Bachelor's degree in fashion design, or other relevant experience
- Excellent English speaking and writing skills
- At least 5+years' experience within fashion design (menswear experience mandatory)
- Excellent in using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and MS Office
- Very good commercial understanding
- Good communication skills, team player and be good at expressing ideas
- Used to work with deadline, and can work under pressure, well organised
