My client is seeking a Business Development manager ,focusing on Knitwear and Jersey . Ideal candidates should have a proven track record of generating substantial business for their current employers and maintaining strong relationships with them. They should also have experience with working on large accounts in the UK and Europe and/or US .My client is a successful supplier to major retailers, with manufacturing based in Turkey ,China ,Bangladesh, Egypt , India and UK . They are a solid business going from strength to strength.
Main Responsibilities Will Include:
Identify and develop new business opportunities in the US, Europe, and the UK that align with the company's profile and capabilities
Developing and maintaining international sales strategies.
Collaborate with partner factories in Turkey, China, Bangladesh, India, Egypt, and the UK to ensure the product offerings meet the needs of both customers and the company .
Manage key accounts from initial contact through to the onboarding stage.
Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis.
Meet sales targets and contribute to the company's growth.
Travel internationally as required to visit potential customers and partner factories.
Flexible/remote working options are available, though some office travel to Leicester will be necessary.
Person specifications:
Must have worked with High street retailers/supermarkets
Proven working experience within ladies FASHION sales/business development /international
Strong knitwear and /or Jersey experience essential
Up to date with the latest trends and best practices
Strong listening, presentation, and decision-making skills
Track Record of building relationships with buyers and other key partners internal and external.
Great communicator
Self-starter , highly motivated and driven
Ability to work independently and with a Team
Available to travel to meetings when required
