Assistant Manager - Fine Jewellery Showroom

Job Description

My client is a unique and beautiful fine jewellery brand who are seeking an Assistant Manager experienced in the fine jewellery sector to join their stunning Mayfair showhouse. This brand is unique in their design with detailed stories and inspirations surrounding each exquisite piece. The environment is also unlike any other fine jewellery showroom and a truly special place to work.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Plan and prepares schedules assigning staff to specific duties
  • Assist in delivering of staff training
  • Assist and come up with new initiatives with brand partnerships and events
  • Handle matters relating to staff welfare and work issues
  • Recruitment, induction and training of new staff members
  • Act as the liaison between staff and management and leading through example
  • Open and close showroom
  • Handle cash and prepare bank deposits (if necessary)
  • Reconcile daily takings
  • Keep operating records and/or prepare daily record of transactions
  • Deliver a high standard and personalised customer service at all times
  • Meet or exceed set sales targets
  • Instruct in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and housekeeping
  • Resolve customer complaints
  • Accountable for in store price changes and checks
  • Monitor floor security by coaching sales staff in vigilant customer service and consistent application of Company / department store procedures regards tagging and changing rooms
  • Adhere to and ensure compliance of staff with policies and procedures
  • Any other duties as assigned by the manager

Person specification:

  • A figure head and inspiration for staff and clients alike
  • Excellent at clientelling experience
  • Knowledgeable of the luxury industry and able to impart knowledge to employees and customers
  • Previous luxury retail Managerial experience is essential within the fine jewellery field
  • Ability to build relationships with staff and customers
  • Self-motivated team player, supportive of management and able to motivate and inspire others
  • High standards of customer service
  • Coaching and training skills
  • Positive problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to frequent change and a high-pressure selling environment
  • Excellent Product knowledge
