Assistant Footwear Product Developer
Job description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Footwear Product Developer to work with a reputable global brand.
 This is a great opportunity for someone who has been working within footwear for 2 years and looking to progress your career .
 This role is based in Central London.
Main Responsibilities Will Include:
- Reporting to the Senior Footwear Product Developer.
 - Support the Design Team to develop styles across seasonal collections
 - Maintain and update product critical path from proto sample through to salesman samples/Gold Seal
 - Pre- production ensuring key timelines are adhered to.
 - Creation and maintenance of all seasonal, SMU, and collaboration products
 - Manage and organise footwear samples and maintain a clear sample system
 - Managing all post/sampling / trims / colour development and deliveries from suppliers
 - Day to day liaison with factories
 - Summarising critical path movements and outstanding tasks to all teams on a weekly basis.
 - Working with the design team to engineer products to meet margin targets
 - Support the design team in developing products for testing to relevant standards
 - Identify and communicate any risks/challenges identified at all stages.
 - Assist and support the team with day-to-day duties.
 - Liaise with marketing/ sales/ customer service/ operation teams for product queries.
 - Travel to suppliers' locations as and when required.
 
Person Specifications:
- Minimum years of 2-3 experience in a reputable company
 - A natural ability to multi-task with strict adherence to deadlines
 - Ability to work to tight deadlines
 - Strong detail orientation with excellent time management
 - Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Programmes
 - Outstanding communication and follow-up skills.
 - Eagerness and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
 - Driven by teamwork and collaborative innovation.
 - Self-starter and solution-oriented and able to manage own workload.
