Job description

We have an exciting opportunity to join a design-led, multi-category fashion supplier with a strong global footprint.

Based in London, they are looking for an Assistant Account Manager to partner closely with senior category leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth day-to-day account management, from product development through to production, keeping activity on track to critical path.

This role offers hybrid working.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising daily with factories and in-country merchandising teams regarding approvals and rejections
  • Analysing customer critical paths and coordinating with in-country merchandisers to meet deadlines
  • Sending sample submissions, lab dips and strike offs to customers
  • Supporting price negotiations with factories and customers
  • Managing the critical path for new sample development, ensuring samples are sent on time and tracking and photo information is shared with customers
  • Following up on fabric and trim development and maintaining relevant trackers
  • Sending new order confirmations internally and arranging handover meetings and risk assessments with relevant teams
  • Coordinating and attending customer meetings with the category manager and design team
  • Attending meetings where required and sharing clear recaps and notes internally
  • Covering for category managers on Buyer liaison during holidays and travel

Person specifications:

  • Ideally previous experience in a similar role either on the supplier or retail side
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate across departments
  • Comfortable working with two reporting lines and multiple stakeholders
  • Self-starter with clear ownership, initiative and a mindset to add value
  • Team player who enjoys contributing to a positive office culture
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook
