Job description
We're recruiting for a fast-growing fashion supplier seeking a proactive Account Manager to own and grow key retail accounts while supporting new business opportunities.
Based in London, this role has clear commercial responsibility and day-to-day ownership of account performance, from seasonal selling through to critical path delivery.
You'll lead client relationships, drive account strategy, and partner closely with internal teams to ensure product is developed, costed, and delivered in line with customer expectations and timelines while identifying opportunities to expand categories, increase volume, and improve margin.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Own and develop key customer relationships; act as the senior day-to-day contact.
- Drive account growth through seasonal strategy, range planning support, and identifying new opportunities within existing customers.
- Lead client meetings/showroom appointments.
- Proactively generate and convert new business leads.
- Oversee the order lifecycle: sampling, costing negotiations, critical path tracking and delivery updates.
- Liaise with internal teams (design, production, merchandising, logistics) to meet customer requirements, deadlines and quality standards.
- Monitor performance vs targets; flag risks early and implement solutions.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, reporting and account documentation; ensure systems and records are up to date.
Person specification:
- Proven experience in account management / sales within fashion, apparel.
- Strong commercial awareness with confidence around pricing, margin, and negotiation.
- Excellent relationship-building skills; credible with Buyers and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Highly organised and solutions-focused; able to manage multiple accounts and deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Confident using Excel with strong attention to detail.
- Self-starter with a collaborative approach and a drive to grow accounts and deliver results.
