Job Description

  • A fabulous new opportunity has become available for a large financially sound supplier group that is looking for a well-connected German-based wholesale sales/account manager to work with their existing retailers and open new accounts with large retail chains based in Germany. My client manufacturers ladies soft separates and knitwear and have their own factory base in Cambodia, India, and Bangladesh.

    You will be working closely with their London design studio on all product development. The right person will have an existing network with retailers The role will be based from home so the location is open. If you have a proven sales background in ladieswear and relevant retail connections then this is a fabulous career opportunity to be part of a growing company and could be the perfect role for the next step in your career

    Main responsibilities will include:

    • Working with current retail groups and developing a further product offering
    • Liaising with London based design team
    • Setting up and creating specific ranges for the German market
    • Spearhead the companies German expansion with retail chains
    • Develop German retail accounts and grow relationships with the buyers
    • Understanding key trends and having the 'eye' for fashion
    • Good understanding of margins and working with designers and buyers
    • Negotiation on pricing and delivery with the production team
    • Managing high volume orders in an organised and timely manner
    • Assist in developing the strategic direction of the business,

    Person Specification:

    • A proven track record of developing and driving business, through bringing on new accounts within the German Market
    • Strong commercial business acumen and excellent negotiation skills
    • Experience of working within ladies manufacturing
    • The role offers autonomy for a commercial individual who can demonstrate a successful career background
    • A dynamic, hands-on go-getter who can think on their feet
    • Excellent communication skills to communicate with designers and buyers
    • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to prioritise workload
    • Must be based in or open to relocating to Germany
