Job Description

As one of the fastest-growing brands in the UK, our client is looking for a talented UX Designer to help support the growth of their brand. Based in London Paddington the job of a User Experience (UX) Designer is to envision how people experience their brand online - translating their physical product experience and vision into an interface that engages and excites.

Your initial focus will be on their website. Using a customer-centric design methodology, you'll design carefully considered, beautiful features for the site. You must clearly articulate the benefits of our products and wow our customers with sexy interactions that reflect the premium nature of our brand.

You'll be expected to work across the whole product design lifecycle from research, insights, requirement gathering and concepts to testing, wireframing and high fidelity UI design. At each stage, you will anticipate what our users need, advocate for them and ensure that the final product surprises and delights them as well as satisfying our business requirements.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Understand user needs, gather requirements and translate these into user journeys and interfaces
  • Understand business requirements and ensure any solutions satisfy these too
  • Conduct user research to understand needs and inform
  • Conduct user testing to validate your solutions and assumptions
  • Conduct benchmarking analysis and keep an eye on the competition
  • Create pixel-perfect designs and work with development to bring them to life
  • Work closely with development to ensure that all outputs are up to scratch before deploying
  • Work with the leadership team to prioritise the roadmap
  • Strive to make data-driven decisions wherever possible and measure your outputs in order to optimise
  • Manage project priorities, deadlines and deliverables - delivering quality on time
  • Drive constant improvement in best practices, design and innovation

Person Specifications:

  • Passion for technology, communication and great design
  • Data led, inquisitive and always looking to identify opportunities and new creative ideas
  • An advocate of lean, agile based methodologies
  • Take a problem-driven approach to designing products and solutions
  • Experience working with marketing, product, engineers and QA
  • Willing and able to get into the technical details
  • Ability to communicate complex interaction concepts clearly and persuasively to different audiences
  • You'll have experience working across web and native apps
  • Relentless drive to provide the best customer experience possible
  • You have a track record of introducing changes that improve customer engagement and quality
  • You'll be experienced working with market leading tools such as: Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Prototyping tools such as Marvel, Figma, Axure, Invision, Abstract/Zeplin
  • 3+ years in design based roles with both UX and visual design experience
