Job Description

My client is a successful supplier to several mid-market retailers across ladies and menswear. Due to continued growth, they are expanding their womenswear business and are looking for an experienced senior account/ business development manager to join their close knit team.

In this role you will be responsible for bringing on new mid market accounts across ladies soft woven and tailoring . A proven track record of success in a similar field is required for this role.

Successful candidates should be able to show evidence of growing business through strong product development, relationship building and strategic thinking and an ability to problem solve to get results.

Main Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Building ,Planning and developing strategies that balance customer's expectations and company's objectives
  • Implements strategic plans to grow sales.
  • Monitor market trends, capitalise on the company's manufacturing strengths.
  • Plan and coordinate with the customer for product launches and seasonal opportunities.
  • Presenting product and new opportunities in a way that engages buyers and increases sample to sales hit rate.
  • Managing budgets and sales targets.
  • Understand trend, competition and other market factors that affect buying decisions


Person specifications:

  • Must have worked with Mid market High street retailers.
  • Previous supplier experience working with one of the above specialist categories
  • Proven working experience in sales/business development
  • Must have current Contacts with customers in the mid market
  • Up to date with the latest trends and best practices
  • Strong listening, presentation, and decision-making skills
  • Great at building relationship with buyers and other key partners internal and external.
  • Great communicator
  • Ability to work independently and also well within a Team
