We've got a fantastic new and urgent role that has just come in! Our client is a leading supplier across jersey, nightwear and activewear supplying to supermarkets and high street retailers. They are looking for a Senior Jersey Designer across womenswear to join their team.

As the Senior Designer across Jersey, you will need to be extremely trend driven. Someone who can drive jersey product development with a commercial eye for newness with a can-do attitude working across all Fashion Jersey Products.

You'll have a lot of autonomy in this role and report into the Design Director. Based in London this company offer hybrid working, spacious modern offices and fantastic progression.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Creating on-trend, forward-thinking yet commercial womenswear designs keeping in line with the buyer's briefs.
  • Strong interpretation of trends into commercial designs.
  • Constantly developing newness and emerging trends.
  • Ability to present trends / designs to Buyers and internal Design teams, mood boards and market research.
  • Produce accurate and detailed CAD's for sampling.
  • Working with the fabric team to implement direction and innovation for the season.
  • Working closely with the in-house sales and production team along with retail buyers.
  • Gathering and using relevant internal and external information to drive product and range development for the customer.
  • Overseeing development of all sampling ensuring deadlines are met.

Person specifications:

  • 5-6 years womenswear jersey experience.
  • Appetite for design influences and strong eye for emerging trends.
  • Previous supplier experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong CAD and illustration skills.
  • A hands-on can-do attitude, someone who is innovative, with a fun personality who can inspire others.
  • Ability to work under own initiative.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate confidently at all levels.
  • Good teamwork and inter-personal skills.
