Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for a leading supplier to several large UK retailers and Supermarkets for an account manager who is extremely product-focused to work with their existing team working across multi-product ladies Jersey servicing several accounts. This role would ideally suit someone who has a strong eye for product and a proven track record in account management with a supplier. This role will involve you working closely with retail buying teams and in-house design teams to identify newness and gaps in the product offering.
This role does offer hybrid working
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- To maintain and nurture relationships with clients
- Identifying gaps within the range,developing, working alongside designers to ensure maximum opportunity being offered to all customers
- Research and identify new suitable fabrics
- Work closely with fabric, garment techs, merchandising, and design teams to ensure on-time delivery of product development projects
- Provide guidance and assistance to design teams to ensure product development aligns with internal and customer strategy
- In conjunction with the design team, present new product to customers
- Negotiate prices in line with customer requirements and targets and agree on cost prices with customers
Person Specifications:
- Relevant product knowledge within ladies Jersey
- Experienced working for a supplier and managing high-volume accounts- Supermarket experience highly desirable
- Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
- A dynamic, hands-on go-getter who can think on their feet
- Able to work under pressure within a fast-paced environment
- Experience in product development, sourcing, trends, and production
- Knowledge of the production cycle in factories in China, Bangladesh & India is desirable
