Job description
We are looking for a Sales Account Manager to join a well-established, trend-led supplier. This role will focus on managing existing accounts while also developing new business opportunities.
The ideal candidate will already have strong connections with Buyers across mid- to value-focused online retailers, high street retailers, or supermarkets. You will work as part of a collaborative team of designers and garment technologists, reporting directly to the Director.
Main Responsibilities will include:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing accounts
- Drive sales growth through upselling, cross-selling, and introducing new clients via your network
- Collaborate closely with design teams on product development tailored to customer needs
- Negotiate pricing and delivery timelines with the design and production teams
- Demonstrate strong commercial awareness of margins while working with merchandisers and buyers
- Manage high-volume orders effectively and in a timely manner
Person Specification:
- Proven track record of success in a similar role within a supplier environment
- Established network of Buyer relationships across relevant retail sectors
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with both clients and factories
- Strong organisational skills and ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of knitwear products is advantageous
