Job Description

We are working with a fantastic client going through exponential growth who are looking for a senior Product Manager to support the team.

This company are trendsetters in all things fashion and are looking for someone who is a team player and shares a passion about all things fashion, who has their finger on the pulse of what's trending.

You'll need to have proven leadership experience and be ready to share your ideas on what makes a sell-out style and execute them! A strong understanding of garment construction and capabilities is advantageous in this role.

This role is based in sunny Sydney, Australia with a pet friendly office and offers a competitive salary and relocation package.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring product aligns with business strategy and direction.
  • Working closely with the General Manager on end-to-end design and production.
  • Overseeing the production costing process, negotiating pricing with suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Forecasting market trends by analysing consumer buying patterns, competitor pricing, researching and staying up-to-date with fast fashion trends.
  • Effectively running fit sessions ensuring accurate and consistent fit of all garments.
  • Liaising with the Creative Team to maintain consistent branding across product and marketing collateral.
  • Managing the product team, providing leadership and guidance.
  • Reviewing and updating processes with our manufacturers to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Building strong working relationships with all key stakeholders.

Person Specifications:

  • 5+ years experience working across product, production, buying or technology.
  • A team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Proven experience managing a team of Buyers, Designers and Garment Techs
  • Strong understanding of the buying and design/production processes as well as procurement/supply chain function.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented.
  • The ability to commercially interpret trends for the fast fashion customer.
  • An innovator who knows which trends to start and which to follow.
