Job Description
This new opportunity has arisen for a successful menswear company supplying to several well-known retailers who are looking for a detail-orientated product developer to work closely with their design and sales teams from initial conception to final execution of garments primarily on men's woven and outerwear. You will be involved in initial trend presentations and developing samples with factories to ensure the retailer's product offering is innovative, trend-led, and to the highest quality level. This is an exciting opportunity and would suit someone with a strong menswear background within product development. Design and or Buying
Main responsibilities will include:
- Being a key point of contact throughout the development of the product, recording and reporting any actionable results
- Being involved in the initial concept right through to execution
- Creating mood and tend boards and working closely with the design team
- Developing new products and further development on existing garments
- Liaising closely with factories throughout all sample stages to accurately communicate requirements
- Attend customer meetings with account managers to liaise with buyers and design teams
- Supporting Design teams in order to achieve innovative based products to the highest standard
Person specifications:
- You must have a good understanding of menswear ideally within woven garments
- A minimum of 3 years' experience within a similar role,
- An excellent eye for attention to detail in garment makeup and components
- Strong of product trends
- Passionate, enthusiastic, and a strong team player as you will be working with a variety of departments
- Strong fabric knowledge and understanding
- Able to work independently and without supervision based on prior knowledge and experience
