Job Description

Seeking a PR and Events Manager to join a global Watches & Jewellery brand. This is an incredible opportunity to be part of large, very respected group.

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively promote the brand (by organising regular press appointments and pitching PR stories) to ensure strong editorial coverage
  • Management of the press sample collection and all editorial photo-shoots - ensure the relevant products are represented correctly in the key media within an appropriate timeline
  • Maximise editorial coverage through special stories - feature pieces and profile stories for the brands
  • Identify and facilitate new joint venture and partnership PR opportunities that are relevant for the UK market
  • Develop a blogger strategy (identify bloggers who are relevant for the brands and drive collaboration.)
  • Manage brand ambassadors events and interviews opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager and Brand Director, to create an effective public relations strategy to reach both existing and potential consumers, supporting retail, ensuring reputation and maximising editorial coverage in the UK
  • Manage the distribution of press releases, and images to relevant media
  • Develop and manage celebrity endorsement for the brands in the UK on an informal level, where appropriate
  • Create a close working relationship with the brand HQ's to ensure correct and smooth communication with the media
  • Request and manage requests for interviews with senior executives, working closely with the Head of Communications
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the product, including a technical understanding
  • Responsible for the creation of an annual events strategy working in line with the marketing objectives, managing the delivery of all press events, and ensuring excellent editorial results
  • Bi-annual statistical analysis of all editorial results for review, feedback and to set future objectives with Head of Communications

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience within PR and Events
  • Proven ability to create and manage strategy
  • Experience of working with luxury brands
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent media contacts, and the ability to develop and strengthen new relationships relevant for the brands
  • An ability to work with different teams, and to demonstrate a flexibility to work across many projects at the same time
  • Experience within the watch and jewellery industry an advantage
